The townscape is characterized by original farms. The heathland in the northern part of the village is an attraction for day-trippers of all kinds. This is where the old Kressweg (Kräes-Pankratius in dialect) used to run, separating the Duchy of Westfalen and the Soest Börde and connecting the towns of Soest and Arnsberg. A bench with a view of the Soest Börde and the Beckum mountains was erected here on the occasion of a Schnadegang.
The memorial and the bell tower in the village are also worth seeing.
