WasserWegeWinkel combines seven Westfalen municipalities and their most beautiful locations to create a remarkable experience. As independent and individual as these communities are, they can be summarized in three characteristic core features: CulturePlaces, NatureSpaces and WaterWorlds. Sometimes rich in contrast, sometimes in harmony, a total of 57 special places and sections make up the great attraction of the route. The balanced interplay of historic old towns, floodplain landscapes, overgrown ruins, nature reserves, imposing churches, information sites and many other stops could hardly be more varied - and offers the right highlights for every traveler. The route covers 130 kilometers through seven municipalities with 57 multifaceted stops - from nice little spots to local insider tips and lively tourist magnets: The Lippe-Möhnesee LEADER region is waiting to be experienced and enjoyed. Each municipality presents its own individual highlights and blends harmoniously into the overall regional constellation beyond its own municipal boundaries. Thanks to the short distances between the destinations, there are no long stretches along the entire route. From the station in Möhnesee, you can reach the Ruhrtalweg via the MöhnetalRadweg. In this way, the route also provides a direct connection between the important Emsradweg and RuhrtalRadweg cycle routes.
