How to Play Disc Golf:

Disc golf works similarly to mini-golf—only with discs. The goal is to get the disc into a metal basket with as few throws as possible. You start at the tee. From there, you throw your disc toward the basket. If the disc lands on the ground, you throw again from that exact spot until it lands in the basket. The player with the fewest throws at the end wins.

Tips & Tricks:

1. Stand sideways to the target; keep your shoulder facing the basket, and swing your arm straight forward.
2. Keep the disc straight; throw the disc horizontally—don’t tilt it upward.
3. Throw forward; guide the disc close to your body and release it toward the target.

Rules:

1. Every throw counts. Start at the course sign. Everyone throws one after the other.
2. The next throw is made from where the disc landed. Play continues from where the disc comes to rest.
3. The player whose disc is farthest from the basket throws first. The order of play depends on distance.
4. OB – stands for “Out of Bounds,” meaning outside the playing area. If your disc lands outside the marked playing field, a penalty throw is awarded, and you continue playing from the last valid spot.
5. If you’re close to the basket, throw the disc into the basket from below. Sideways throws can bounce out.
6. Be mindful of other players and pedestrians, and don’t throw until the path is clear.
   

• There is a parking lot right next to the Heinrich-Lübke-Haus.
• The playing field is located on a natural lawn with trees. Potholes and molehills may be present.
  
• There are no significant slopes on the playing field.
• There are accessible restrooms in the entrance area of the Heinrich-Lübke-Haus.
